A highly productive, disease resistant, and delicious multi-purpose cucumber. Start seeds indoors or direct seed 1/2 inch deep after the last frost. Plant spacing: 8 inches for trellised plants, 12 - 18 inches in ground rows. Sprouts in 5–14 days with ideal temperature of 70°F to 90°F. This is a quick growing variety, and can produce a substantial harvest before the cucumber beetles & squash bugs do their worst. Harvest fruits early summer - late fall. 200 seeds is ~6grams, which is the average amount of seed per single Suyo Long cucumber fruit. Seed grows in the bottom 1/3rd of mature fruit. Eating-sized fruit usually weighs about 1lb, maturing to ~2lbs per fruit for seed.

This variety is most productive & consistent with trellising, regular irrigation, and full sun. Fruit tends to curl if growing on the ground, trellising produces straighter fruit.

This crop is so prolific and delicious that Tiffany won't bother growing any other kind! Fruits get huge - one cucumber can easily make 1-2 jars of pickles. Also great for fresh eating at any stage - sweet, burpless, crisp, and seeds are not as sour/slimy as other varieties. Grown in a 40ft row with full sun & irrigation in a greenhouse pumped out well over 300 pounds of cucumbers.
